Guy FAURE

Director of IRASEC from 2004 to 2008

Researcher at the CNRS, is director of the Institute of Oriental Asia (IAO), Ecole Normale Supérieure Lettres et Sciences Humaines de Lyon. He is the director of the master’s degree in Contemporary East Asia at the IEP of Lyon. He was previously Director of IRASEC in Bangkok (2004-2008), Director General of the French Chamber of Commerce in Japan (1986-1992), resident at the Maison Franco-Japonaise in Tokyo (1983-1986), and taught at the Universities of Tokyo, Chuo, Ho Chi Minh City and Langues’O in Paris. He has been a guest researcher at Waseda University in Tokyo and the East-West Center in Hawaii.
