Hosting of lecturer-researchers (University) in CNRS delegation at IRASEC

Approach in your University

Delegations abroad follow the normal procedure of the reception campaign as a teacher-researcher delegation, generally launched in October November. The schedule of delegation requests is specific to each university and necessarily involves successive votes by the UFR Council and UFR Scientific Council and then by the university authorities (CA and Scientific Council). The teacher-researcher must obtain a favourable opinion from his university for his departure in delegation, which then transmits the file to the CNRS.

Approach with the laboratory management

The teacher-researcher must inform the director (jerome.samuel irasec.com) of his application and send him a copy of his application file to the CNRS by a letter of motivation, the proposed research project and in which research area he is enrolled and a CV. This is in order to obtain a letter of support.Retour ligne manuel
In his letter, the teacher-researcher must explain how a delegation to the place of assignment he wishes (Bangkok or another city in South-East Asia) is useful for his research but also what he can bring to IRASEC in terms of projects (personal and collective), local and regional cooperation (universities and local research institutes).

Campaign results and allocation

Requests for delegation are examined and classified by the councils by section and then by the CNRS General Council. The CNRS’ response arrives in the spring (April-May). If the application is accepted, the reception at IRASEC begins in September of the following year.Retour ligne manuel
During your assignment abroad, the Institute expects researchers not only to carry out their personal research project, but also to participate actively in the animation of the scientific life of the unit, in coordination with its Director. This active participation includes, but is not limited to, their regular presence on the unit’s premises, the supervision of students, the organisation of scientific events, and participation in the submission of research projects for the unit.
