Alexandra de Mersan is an anthropologist, senior lecturer at the Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (Inalco) and statutory member of the Centre Asie du Sud-Est (Case, CNRS/EHESS, Paris). Its research field is Burma. His research focuses on the relationship between Buddhism, ethnicity and national construction in Arakan State. She is the author of "The 2010 election and the making of a parliamentary representative" published in Metamorphosis : studies in social and political change in Myanmar, (Nus Press-IRASEC, 2015).
