“Food Trends in Southeast Asia” offers a set of publications and digital resources, produced by Toulouse university in partnership with Taylor’s university, chair of food studies “food, cultures and health,” and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (SEAMEO RECFON) with the aim of contributing to scientific knowledge and informing the populations about the current food uses in several countries in the region.

“Food Trends in Southeast Asia” is hosted on the IRASEC website, and our institute contributes to the dissemination of resources produced by Toulouse University and Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (SEAMEO RECFON). IRASEC is interested in the social, sanitary and economic implications of food-related issues, from the point of view of uses but also of production and marketing channels. These endure undergoing significant contemporary upheavals : (re)discovery of vernacular foods and creole cuisines, problems related to malnutrition (undernutrition, obesity), new industrial and commercial food circuits.
