ASEAN enlargement: a political decision

With a presentation entitled “ASEAN enlargement : a political decision”, Christine Cabasset took part in the seminar “Timor-Leste’s Regional Integration : ASEAN Focus” organized by the Center for Advanced Training of the National University Timor LoroSa’e (UNTL) on May 10, 2024, at the Oriente Foundation in Dili. Laurentina ’Mica’ Barreto Soares, a lecturer in UNTL’s Department of International Relations, was also on hand. Opened by UNTL Rector Professor Dr. João Soares Martins, the event brought together around 100 economics students and several UNTL teachers, including Apolinario Magno, Director of the Center for Advanced Training, economist and main organizer of the seminar.

The day before, Christine Cabasset had met with SE Maria da Costa Rangel, East Timorese Vice-Minister for ASEAN, to whom she had presented a copy of IRASEC’s book L’Asie du Sud-Est 2024. Bilan, enjeux et perspectives.
