Abstract
This research focuses on a topic that has not been much explored in the political literature. Southeast Asia, especially the Malay and Indonesian straits, represents a challenge for the security of raw materials supplied in the archipelago. Japan, in its own interest, should work for the stability of the countries bordering the lines of communication between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific, according to its own opportunities and respecting its political and constitutional constraints. One of the main points of my research will be the analysis of Japan security strategies -set up with these countries (Indonesia, Malaya and Philippines) - using economy, development public policies, intelligence and space technologies, against terrorism. It will lead me to consider on one hand, those economy and public policies within a development strategy framework (related to security and efficiency), and on the other hand, counter terrorism strategy (Intelligence capabilities...) and space technology aiming,- if not to eliminate-, but at least to impact terror networks and their influence in Southeast Asian societies.
