Anthropologist and specialist of Burma, where she did her first fieldwork in 1981, Bénédicte Brac de la Perrière is again in Rangoon, for IRASEC (CNRS, Ministry of Foreign Affairs) from 2014 to 2016. She studied rituals and religious practices, particularly the cult of the Thirty-Seven Lords, but also the cults to the weikza and the way in which the religious field is articulated in different domains of practices that evolve over time.
