The IRASEC team is very pleased to announce the launch of its publication website dedicated to research on Contemporary Southeast Asia on the OpenEdition Books platform.
The site offers open access to collections of books on national or transnational themes covering the 11 countries of Southeast Asia and ASEAN. These books, in French or English, are the result of original research projects supported by the institute and its international scientific partners in the various disciplines of the Humanities and Social Sciences.
The initiative, part of proactive open science approach, aims to promote visibility, citability and access to publications on Southeast Asia for researchers, students and all interested in this literature. The site will be enriched over the months with new books and collections, including a collection in English of books co-published with NUS Press and the collection of "National Monographs" published with Les Indes savantes and a collection dedicated to Southeast Asian cities.
Our warmest thanks to all those involved in the development of this site: Abigaël Pesses, initiator and coordinator of this project and Bertrand Bayet, IRASEC's electronic publishing engineer; the members of the Cleo team, in particular Bastien Miraucourt, Anna Mazmanian and Myriam Olivier, who closely followed its execution; our privileged editorial partners, including Frédéric Mantienne from Les Indes savantes, Peter Schoppert and Paul Kratoska from NUS Press; as well as the CNRS scientific valorisation department, Emmanuel Alexandre and Mathilde Chéramy in particular.
